Bat Bites Art Terms of Service


Age to purchase
You must be 18+ or of legal age in your country to purchase our products. We do not and will never sell to minors intentionally. 


Materials used
All of our models and molds are always made with 100% body safe platinum cure silicone. We pigment our products with a variety of skin safe colors including ethically sourced mica powders and skin safe liquid pigments made specifically for use with silicone. This makes our products hypoallergenic and easy to clean and sanitize fully.

Discreet shipping guarantee and where we ship to
All orders are shipped free from external promotional branding in plain white or brown boxes. The return info reads simply "BBA". Currently we are able to ship to most countries excluding the EU and where our products are prohibited. We offer shipping options from both USPS and UPS at varying speeds, though shipping speed does not affect our fulfilment speed, only the speed the carrier delivers your order once its in their possession. If you require an order by a certain date please make sure to reach out to us before placing an order. Please understand we may not always be able to complete these requests, but we will try.

International orders
International orders will list contents on customs forms as "Other articles of rubber other than hard rubber.;other: other".International orders may potentially incur additional fees or VAT before they can be received, depending on shipping services selected at checkout and local taxes/fees charged on imported goods. We are not responsible for charging or paying these fees, and customers should be aware of these potential extra costs prior to ordering from us.

Order tracking status meanings
After placing an order with us our store will automatically send you a confirmation email.  When your order is ready to ship you will receive another email with your tracking information. Your tracking information can tell you a few different things:
  • Not Shipped: We haven't gotten to packing your order yet, but it's in our queue to be fulfilled.
  • Pre-Shipment: We still have your item(s), but we're either still getting it packed up or it hasn't been handed off to your selected shipping carrier. Sometimes packages stay in pre-shipment for a bit while we clear the rest of our shipping queue so everything can be dropped off at once.
  • In-Transit: Our shipping carrier has your package and it's on the way to you. Check your tracking number provided for more info and updates.


Order fulfillment times and combined order shipping
Our typical shipping schedule is fulfilled once a week on Mondays, with orders being packed over weekends. Orders placed on or after Monday will be shipped the following week. While we do our best to ship orders as soon as possible, fulfillment times for premade items can be up to 2-3 weeks depending on how many orders we have at any given point and availability of our shipping supplies. We are a team of only 2 with limited time to transport orders to the post office which does slow us down. We kindly request customers not to inquire about order status until it has gone unfulfilled or sat in pre-shipment for at least a week.
Multiple orders made between shipping periods are (usually) automatically combined into a single order for fulfilment on our end. Generally shipping costs are refunded for subsequent orders, and we keep the initial shipping costs to use to actually ship your new single order out. Order combinations are performed using a store function that checks for matching billing and shipping info between orders. If this information is different from your initial order it will not be combined automatically.This is a courtesy service we offer and we ask that customers make sure their shipping and billing info is entered consistently to ensure smooth operation.

Definition of "Flop" and handmade products statement
Since all of our products are handmade from start to finish small imperfections will almost always be present and are impossible to avoid. All of our models, as well as the molds for our models, are designed, 3D printed, and manufactured by us. The nature of handmade products means there may be small scuffs, residual sanding or 3D printer texture, small drips or runs present in the gloss top coat, among with other purely cosmetic surface imperfections. This is unavoidable for the type of hand finished products we make and usually does not impact the use of any of our toys. Models that have aberrant textures or mold defects that significantly impact use, whether simply visual or not, will have the related information noted on each individual listing to the best of our abilities. Toys that have damage or flaws besides these will be marked as "flops" or "Oops!" and sold at a discount corresponding with the level of damage. Some items may be repaired with a skin safe silicone product called Sil-Poxy. Items repaired with this compound will be noted in the listing information.

Defects we DO consider flops
  • Pigment freckles or clumps
  • Air bubbles
  • Tears, cuts, nicks or scrapes not caused by a defect in the mold itself that are unique to the individual item
Defects we DO NOT consider flops
  • Air bubbles consistently created by mold or casting method (i.e Diadem's piercings, the base of Aux)
Defects we DO consider mold flaws
  • Aberrant textures consistent on every model made from a specific mold
  • Small bumps from air bubbles in the mold itself
  • Areas of the model that appear damaged from damage to the mold itself, also present on all models made from that particular mold
  • Signs of age showing through mold. Small tears or rips to the mold itself, scuff marks from repeated model demolding, general loss of detail of the initial model
Defects we DO NOT consider mold flaws
  • Areas where faint 3D print lines are visible
  • Areas of the model that are hand sculpted or have hand sculpted repairs after being 3D printed that causes variances between model sizes
  • Areas where slight tooling/finishing marks can be seen but not felt in-hand
  • Dulling of the finish of a mold. Silicone molds lose their shine after repeated use, older molds develop a duller matte appearance to finished products

Minor vs Major flops
Products that have reasons to be sold as "flops" or "flopped" will always have the severity of the damage or defect indicated on the individual listing and will be discounted accordingly. The area of the item affected impacts the severity level. Defects on the usable portion of toys will always be more severe than defects that occur on the non-usable areas of the item, such as the base or any portion not intended to be utilized with normal use. The more it impacts use and especially the ability to fully sanitize and clean an item the more drastically it will be discounted.
Products that do not pass quality inspection during production and have been deemed unsafe will never be listed for sale in our store, even at cost or for free.

Items with minor flops may not always affect their use, and may be visual only. The item has been determined to be safe to use and may only require slightly more care when cleaning, if any additional care is required at all. (Examples: Light or small pigment freckles that are deep and that pose no risk of breaking the surface. Small cuts, nicks or tears occuring to the base of an item that may or may not require the Sil-Poxy to repair.) 

Products with major flops have damage to them that makes them harder to use or maintain, or may be able to be felt in use impacting the overall quality of the item's intended purpose. Greater case should always be taken to ensure items are properly cleaned after use, and may need more frequent full sanitation to maintain. (Examples: Large or frequent pigment freckles or clumps close to the surface, or pigment freckles or clumps that have been removed and repaired with Sil-Poxy. Any cut, nick or tear occuring on the usable portion of a toy that may or may not require Sil-Poxy to repair. Large cuts, nicks or tears on the base that may or may not require Sil-Poxy to repair.)


Pet and smoke allergy statement
All of our silicone products are made in a smoke-free but not a pet-free home. While our animals are not allowed in or near our workshop, it is very difficult to prevent 100% of cross contamination between our home and workspace. Please keep this in mind if you have pet allergies. 


Order cancellations, refunds and returns
We do not accept order cancellations or returns for any reason. Refunds or store credit, either total or partial, are given at our discretion and on a case-to-case basis.

Issues we're able to help with can include but are not strictly limited to: 
  • Missing or incorrect items
  • Package lost, stolen, or misdelivered 
  • Item defects or "flops" not noted and discounted for properly prior to sale
  • Order returned to sender
  • Order obviously damaged or tampered with in transit
Issues we are NOT able to help with can include but are not strictly limited to:
  • Damage to items from improper use, storage or care after delivery
  • Misuse of items
  • Perceived colors do not match preview photos, correct item sent
  • Shipping delays once order has left our hands
  • Item too firm/too soft/other personal preference not met
  • Item "didn't work"
  • Issues with tracking information/updates not related to our site
What to do if you need help with your order
Make sure to inspect all items before removing them from their heat-sealed plastic bags and reach out to us immediately if you spot something wrong. The help we can offer is severely limited for items that have been opened or used, since it makes it difficult to tell if the item was damaged prior to delivery or after. Please reach out to us within 7 days of receiving your package. Package(s) marked delivered by carrier begins the 7 day period. We will do our best to make allowances where possible, because we understand life happens, but issues reported after this 7 day period limits how we can help. We will always try to help to the best of our ability and want to make it right if an order is damaged, incorrect, or otherwise faulty.


Basic order issue resolutions
If there is a problem with an order we can usually offer a variety of resolutions to satisfy all parties. 
In most cases we can usually offer a full or partial refund and/or store credit to your customer account for future purchases with us. In some cases we may be able to offer a replacement item, either in the form of remaking an item or in exchange/addition to replacing with unsold inventory of equal or lesser value.


Types of resolutions offered
Each resolution is offered on a case-by-case basis. In order to fully help you we will require photos of the damage to fully investigate, along with a detailed description. We may ask you some follow-up questions or ask you to remove an item from its bag to further figure out the cause.
To get an idea of how you might be compensated, below are some examples of resolutions for a given situation;
  • Undocumented minor flop: If an item that qualifies as a "flop" that does not impact use is received and was not sold as such we will typically offer a partial refund proportional to the defect, usually 5%-15% of the cost of the individual item's base price. Store credit will also always be offered for the same or sometimes greater amount.
  • Undocumented major flop: If an item that qualifies as a "flop" that impacts use or makes an item unsafe is received and was not sold as such we will typically offer a large (35% or greater) or full refund, depending on the severity of the issue. Store credit will always also be offered for the same or sometimes greater amount, or in combination with a refund.
  • Undocumented mold flaw: This will always handled on be a case-to-case basis. A refund or store credit may not always be offered, but if it is, the amount will be proportional to the mold flaw described. 
  • Item missing: If an order arrives missing any item(s) we will always be happy to fully refund the item, provide store credit for the amount of the item missing, or if we still have access to the item in our inventory, ship it to you for free. In some cases we may be able to offer remaking the item, or send a similar product of your choosing from our unsold inventory.
  • Package lost/stolen/damaged/misdelivered: All orders are fulfilled with an included $100-$200 shipping insurance. If any of these situations happens to you order we are able to file an insurance claim to secure a full refund for you, or if store credit is prefered we can provide that instead. In some cases we may be able to offer remaking the item, or send a similar product of your choosing from our unsold inventory for free.
  • Package returned to sender: If you have been notified that your package is being returned to us please reach out to us with an updated/alternative address so that we can send your order back to you. We will always ship it back out for free the first time. If it returns to us again we will require shipping costs to be covered.

Bat Bites Art LLC is not liable for how customers use their products and we are not responsible for any injury or harm caused by improper use of these items, nor can we suggest how they are used. Please use common sense and practice safe use.

Use of "you", "your", "you're" and "customer" refers to purchasing party
